Dale KERR GENGE   For Mayor, For Taxpayers

Small- and medium-sized businesses are the lifeblood of a community. These businesses provide local jobs, services and enormous economic benefit to the community. As the previous owner of a 25-person engineering company with offices in Newmarket, Toronto and Ottawa, Dale understands the challenges of operating a small business and will work to remove obstacles and encourage an environment that is conducive to supporting local business.

It is also important to attract new businesses to Georgina, especially those looking to locate in the Keswick Industrial Park, to relieve some of the pressures on the residential tax rate.

Dale will:

  • Regularly engage with businesses to understand their needs;
  • Promote economic activities to attract new businesses;
  • Streamline permitting and licensing processes to make Georgina attractive to new businesses;
  • Continue to work with the Sutton and Jackson Point BIAs and revitalize the Uptown Keswick BIA.
