Council and staff must make it easier for business owners, contractors and developers to succeed in Georgina. We must cut red tape to make our processes easier for businesses to locate (and stay) in Georgina. When businesses come to the town for services, like building permits, staff must find ways to say "YES". More businesses coming to Georgina means more commercial taxes, which will help relieve some of the pressures on the residential tax rate.
Dale will:
Seek input from business owners, contractors and developers to identify the bottlenecks in the town's approval processes;
Direct town staff to find ways to make working with the town easier and more efficient;
Encourage a supportive town staff culture of proactive problem-solving;
Encourage all staff to "Find Ways to Say YES".
More businesses means more prosperity for Georgina. Cutting red tape will encourage more businesses to make Georgina home and speed up the permitting process.
